I’m not sure if everyone’s familiar with SomethingALaMode but they are definitely one of my top bands for the past two or three years. Thomas Roussel and Yannick Grandjean come from Paris and they successfully done amazing mixtures between classical and modern electronic music. Well, if you’re already curious you can buy their 2010 debut LP called “SALM” (it was #3 on Nite Versions Top 2010 Albums chart). Or, however, listen to some of the tracks on Nite Versions.

The wait is over.

I was so excited to learn that SomethingALaMode’s new single featuring Lexicon is on its way. The digital release of the new “Show Me” EP is planned for June 13. The release includes remixes by Louis La Roche, The Loops Of Fury, Valerna, and The Toxic Avenger. The next album is also clearly in the works – it’s announced for the spring of 2012.

There will be another new track on the upcoming EP called “Versailles No Bara”. It will be a collaboration with Rinko Kikuchi and it will be remixed by The Bloody Beetroots.

8-track comeback for the duo and exciting names reworking it, eh? Sounds promising.
