Thank you for following Nite Versions’ Top Albums of 2010 chart. It’s time for the top 5 out of 30. These are the most exciting and worth remembering albums I’ve heard this year.
The sequels by Klaxons and Midnight Juggernauts were something I’ve been waiting for a long time. SomethingALaMode’s debut LP made me love classical music especially when delivered as a modern mashup of French electro tunes and violins. Yeasayer’s Odd Blood is such a special personal experience; this album opened up a whole new culture to me.
But who’s number one, huh?
Note: SomethingALaMode’s album was released in 2009 in Paris but it was available to the rest of the world in March 2010.
Part 1: #30-26 / Part 2: #25-21 / Part 3: #20-16 / Part 4: #15-11 / Part 5: #10-06 / Part 6: #05-01

“After the hunt, staring the Synrise in cars like you, as good as it gets. Bend words can’t stop me now.”
I know this sounds bullshit but I’m super sure there’s a hidden message in Goose’s track titles. Their second album, Synrise, has already been released in Belgium in October, but the official release date for the rest of the world is February 8, 2011.
However, I got it in my hands and I must say it’s definitely the best damn thing I’ve heard this year. Every single track has its story and mood. Musically speaking, it’s something totally different than anything they (and the rest of the world) ever did.
Cheers,
George
