I was pleasantly amazed when I found out about London’s Michael Lovett a.k.a NZCA/Lines. It’s one of those songs that makes me doubt whether I should put it on Nite Versions or not, but I certainly know I’ll secretly play it many MANY times on my iPhone after that.
Well, there’s nothing stopping me to share “Compass Points” with you. I love it! The beautiful electronic ode to dislocation, as Michael describes it, is the first single to be taken from his forthcoming album. It is produced by Lo Recording’s own Charlie Alex March, mixed by Ash Workman who has also worked with Simian Mobile Disco, Klaxons (“Silver Forest”) and Metronomy (“The Bay”), and the music video is directed by James Houston.
Thumbs up for this one!
