“Awkward” by indie-poppers San Cisco from Fremantle in sunny Western Australia is one of these tracks that immediately makes me feel like “doo doo do…”

It is no surprising. The band reminds me of younger, more playful version of Metronomy. “Awkward” will be the title track on their second EP, to be released in earliy February 2012. The video was directed by Andrew Nowrojee.

“Awkward” is a kooky call and response, featuring the debut vocals of drummer, Scarlett Stevens. It is a song that captures the stalker in all of us as vocalist Jordi James calls to Scarlett:

“Why do you hold on so tight? What do you feel?”
